#The100DayProject is a free global art project that takes place online. Every year, thousands of people around the world commit to 100 days of creating.
As part of my own 100 Day Project, I decided to come up with a list of 100 writing prompts, some of which I have already used in my own writing. My Wattpad novel in progress, Gravity, is a good example of what can be made of these prompts if you need some extra inspiration. I’d call this list the pop culture edition as many of these writing prompts were inspired by songs and TV shows.
Some prompts will speak to you more than others. But I challenge you to give them all a try. You never know what you might come up with. E.L. Doctorow started one of his bestselling novels by writing about the wall of his study, then about the house that was attached to that wall and the era in which it was built.
I hope the following 100 prompts will jumpstart your creativity or help you move past writer’s block.
